How Deionization Works
Reverse Osmosis membranes, although very good at removing contaminants, still allow
trace amounts to pass through. Nitrates, phosphates and silica are among these substances
not fully removed. By further processing RO water through multi-layered, mixed-bed
de-ionization cartridges, even those difficult to remove chemicals are reduced to virtually
undetectable levels. The De-ionization cartridge contains resin beds of positive ions (cations)
and negative ions (anions) which react with contaminants to chemically remove them from
the water stream. The result is ultra-pure water that is extremely low in contaminants.

This unit will reject up to 99% of salts and impurities.
This system can be installed to any fresh water source for your aquarium and drinking water.

Special Feature:
Color Changing DI Media. Filter changes from green to yellow to show when it needs replacement.
DI life is approx. 6 mos. depending upon usage. When your DI filter turns YELLOW, you need to replace it.

· This multi-stage under counter water purifying system effectively removes over 99%
of chlorine, over 95% of lead and over 90% of many contaminants including pesticides,
herbicides, benzene and more.

 Why the Permeate Pump?

The Permeate Pump is for anyone who wants to increase the quantity and quality of the
water produced by their home Reverse Osmosis System.

· The Aquatec Permeate Pump does NOT require electricity. It is powered by using the
energy of the brine water (wastewater)of your RO system to pump the permeate into
your pressure tank. It is using the hydraulic energy that normally goes down the drain,
unused. It isolates your tank from the membrane and lets your membrane perform like
an atmospheric tank system.

· This system can feed more than one faucet – can feed two faucets AND an Ice Maker.
